600 Expats Embraced Islam in Qatar


More than 600 expatriates in Qatar have chosen to embrace Islam during the holy month of Ramadan, joining thousands of other reverts in the gas-rich Gulf state that.

The news, announced by Qatar Guest Center, Association of Charity Eid, said that as much as 629 people living in Qatar has embraced Islam during Ramadan this year, Qatar News Agency reported, as offered by onislam, Saturday (25/7/2015).

The majority of the reverts that originated from the Philippines, which is estimated at about 516 men and women.

According to the statistics of Qatar Guest, among the reverts, as many as 26 people from India, 32 people from Sri Lanka, 15 people from Nepal and 25 people from the United Kingdom.

There are as many as 144 women and 407 men among them.

According to Qatar's Guest, a large number of reverts were associated with easy access to get information about Islam.

The number of non-Muslims who embraced Islam in the month of Ramadhan this year increased.
